I certify that I do not send any unwanted e-mailsSince Tuesday, January 25, the authorization of a single parent is sufficient to have their child vaccinated. The government has shared the certificate of authorization to be completed to have children aged 5 to 11 vaccinated.

On Wednesday January 26, 2022, the Ministry of Health shared the new "parental authorization form for vaccination against Covid-19". It is available via this PDF link.

The day before, the government simplified the rules for vaccinating children aged 5 to 11, while France is still hit by the Omicron wave. Clearly, the authorization of only one of the parents is sufficient to have his child vaccinated.

Thus, on the certificate, next to the box "Parent 2" is written "optional".

Vaccination of children strongly encouraged

With these simplifications, the government wishes to give a boost to the vaccination of the youngest. Of the approximately five million children affected by this opening to the vaccine, only 200,000 have already received a first dose.

The list of professionals who can vaccinate this age group has also been extended. In addition to the staff of the vaccination centers, there are now also nurses, midwives and pharmacists.

However, children aged 5 to 11 are not affected by the vaccination pass, unlike children aged 12 to 17 (and all adults).
