I certify that I do not send unwanted e-mails After wallpapering, it may happen that air bubbles appear. To avoid having to peel off all the wallpaper, there are a few simple tricks to remove them.

Air bubbles (or blisters) form when the wallpaper has been applied incorrectly. One of the important steps when hanging wallpaper is masking. This consists, once the length has been placed on the wall, of removing any air bubbles that may form with a masking brush. After smoothing, the length must adhere perfectly to the wall, without blisters or folds. If the bubbles are too large, the wallpaper may end up peeling and the finished result is very imperfect.

Remove air bubbles when the paper has just been laid

The earlier you work on the wallpaper, the easier the air bubbles are to remove. It is therefore important to take a good look at each length after laying it. If the air bubble is small, use a thin pin and poke a small hole at the bottom of the bubble. With your finger or a small roller, smooth the bubble starting from its edges to go towards the center. The wet paper will tighten perfectly when it dries and the bubble will disappear. If the blister is more important, use a cutter with a new, clean blade so as not to leave traces afterwards. Make a cross-shaped incision on the bubble and then, with a small brush, put some wallpaper paste underneath. Then smooth with your finger or a roller, always from the edges towards the center and clean off the excess glue if necessary. Finally, press down with a sheet of blotting paper in between to avoid lifting the sides of the incision.

Again, if the bubble isn't too big, start by piercing it with a thin pin at the bottom. Then you will have to inject wallpaper glue inside to glue it back together. For this, use a syringe with a very fine needle. Those sold in pharmacies for injections can be effective, but there are also ready-to-use glue-dosing syringes in all DIY stores. Prepare some liquid glue then inject it into the bubble with the syringe. Then wait about 5 minutes for the wallpaper to get wet. Then gently smooth the bubble to make it disappear. In the event of a large bubble, use the incision and cutter method. If there are too many or too many bubbles, it is better to completely peel off the wallpaper.
