The installation of thermal insulation from the outside under plaster requires two, or even three different mortars, for bonding the EPS panels, the reinforced under-coating and the finish. Why not offer a unique solution that simplifies the work of facade designers and site logistics? It is Parex's research axis that launches Unit, a "3 in 1" hydraulic coating, integrated into the Pariso PSE-U ITE system.

The latest addition to the Parex Innovation Center in Saint-Quentin Fallavier, the Unit hydraulic coating alone makes it possible to carry out the three main stages of an ITE: gluing/shimming of the insulating panels on the wall, the under-coating and finishing. Composed of lime binders, micronized copolymers, fibers, mineral fillers, mineral pigments and additives, Unite is formulated so that the mixing rates with water are the same at each stage. It holds the system in place during bonding with high pull-out resistance from the initial state, without sticking to tools.

Unité, l'enduit 3 en 1 qui va simplifier les chantiers d'ITE

Unctuous, it stands up and smoothes easily, and adheres even in thick layers. It is applied in blocks on the EPS insulating panels to stick them on the concrete support or the masonry, then is projected by machine as a monolayer coating, in a single pass of 6 to 8 mm, on which the frame. After 12 to 16 hours, it is again sprayed as a finishing layer 6 to 8 mm thick, then smoothed in three traditional aspects (fine scraped, rustic or crushed rustic) or in wood or stone structured decors printed with a roller and to the rule.

    Save time and product

Its fiber formula gives it maximum resistance to impact and puncturing from the simple frame (class 1), suitable for exposed facades. Stable in seismic zones, incombustible in the event of a fire, its thickness protects the building and makes it possible to install EPS insulation up to 30 cm. Finally, after 80 hygrothermal cycles and 5 freeze/thaw cycles tested in the cabin, the Pariso PSE-Unit system shows no signs of damage. Unit has just been validated by a technical opinion from the CSTB.

“Discovering Unit was a relief for us, testifies Aydin Kisakaya, manager of Façadiers du Gier, member of the Parex Façade Reference Club and participant in the product test phases. It is smoother than the coatings that were used before, it has a longer open time and a more flexible water dosage, resulting in appreciable working comfort. We only place one order for the entire project and, according to my calculations, we benefit from a 15% saving in working time. Finally, another advantage, there is less loss of product because the remains can be reused for gluing the plates on the next site. »
