500 euros more per month for hospital midwives
Bonne nouvelle pour les sages-femmes hospitalières. Elles vont bénéficier, à compter du 1er février 2022, d’une revalorisation salariale de 500 euros net mensuels, selon un protocole d’accord signé lundi soir par les ministres Véran (Santé), Montchalin (Fonction publique), Taquet (Enfance) et les syndicats CFDT, FO et Unsa. Cette revalorisation comprend les 183 euros d’augmentation du «Ségur de la santé», auxquels s’ajoutent 78 euros net par mois de revalorisation des grilles et 240 euros net de prime d’exercice médical reconnaissant la spécificité de la profession.

For the Ministry, the agreement is a "substantial gesture", amounting to €100 million in 2022, which will "reinstate social dialogue with an outstanding profession". It partly responds to the demands of midwives, who have mobilized on several occasions. Increasing steadily since 2012, the number of midwives stabilized at around 23,400 in 2021, according to the DREes. Based on consistent behaviour and legislation, by 2050, midwifery density is projected to increase by 27 per cent compared to 2021.
